The self-developed WAYTOUS domain controller, equipped with dual-core NVIDIA® Jetson AGXi Xavier + AG security MCU architecture, functions as a sensing, planning, positioning, control and decision-making algorithm in the unmanned system by providing 64TOPS computing power. There are multiple data and communication interfaces on the controller including GigE, GMSL, USB3.0, and 5G, with a security monitoring module used for system running monitoring and safety control. Having passed long-term real-time running tests in many mining areas, meeting the requirements of unmanned driving in mines, it is a perfect computing platform for high-computing-power application scenarios such as unmanned systems and industrial control.

It is equipped with a high-performance AG 4-core ARM A53 processor, multiple interfaces such as GigE, CAN, RS232, HDMI and USB, multiple communication modes such as 4G/5G/V2X, and a GNSS positioning module, easy to expand and integrate. Through V2X communication, vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-roadside-equipment and vehicle-to-cloud communication links can be established; the GNSS system supports sub-meter-sized vehicle positioning and even supports upgrading to RTK high-precision centimeter-sized vehicle positioning; through 4G/5G communication, vehicle running track record submission, vehicle data collection and reporting, and remote vehicle query are enabled.

The intelligent roadside collaboration system is designed to provide networked vehicles with environmental information assistance, including environmental perception and understanding, road dispatching and control, intelligent environmental monitoring, and networked information service. WAYTOUS has independently developed multi-source sensing technology, high-precision time-space synchronization technology, junction decision-making and dispatching technology, intelligent mine monitoring technology, V2X standard communication protocol, etc., enabling core functions such as holographic target sensing, intelligent junction dispatching, and intelligent road environment management. When applied to scenarios including road intersections, loading and unloading areas, mountain-blocked blind spots, parking areas, and crushing stations in open-pit mines, the system can help to solve difficult problems such as restricted vehicle perception, combined driving under complex road conditions, and real-time supervision of dynamic environments.

Based on V2X communication technology, GNSS high-precision positioning technology, millimeter wave radar, mine map, road network information and visual image information, the WAYTOUS vehicle collision avoidance system serves to prevent vehicle collision in various scenarios with the aid of multi-data fusion processing and intelligent analysis technology, greatly enhancing driving safety in mining areas.

Active Safety System FCW + AEB When the vehicle is running on mine laneway, the vehicle-mounted sensing device identifies any other vehicle, operator and uncharted obstruction ahead, with an automatic warning issued, so that the vehicle slows down automatically to ensure driving safety. Driver Monitoring System DFM + DAM The system conducts real-time monitoring over the driver’s behavior including head movement, eyelid movement, eye closure frequency, gazing direction, and yawning frequency. The driver is also under fatigue monitoring and attention monitoring. Speed Limit Assist System ISLI+ ISLC When the vehicle is running on a speed-limiting road, the system collects speed limit information automatically and adjusts the highest running speed of the vehicle. When the vehicle speed exceeds the speed limit, the system issues a warning automatically and places active control over the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle runs at a speed below the limit. Blind Spot Detection (BSD) System MALSO + AVM + RCA The system provides the driver with real-time panoramic image information within 360 degrees around the vehicle, detects obstructions in the blind area automatically, and issues a warning actively.
